| Specification | The increased necessity of examine containers is accompanied by a rapid increase in the employment and handling of freight containers. This leads to structural damage or material stress which cannot be identified by using only passive camera systems. Thus the combination of an active laser scan system and dedicated application software can help to prevent hazardous incidents by detecting the damage and identifying defective containers. For this reason and in order to enhance the degree of automation in ports and terminals, the new system for Automatic Container Damage Detection has been developed and can be applied for GATE as well as STS crane operations. |
